Trademark Policy

Rasa Rosz Sdn Bhd (“the Trademark Owner”) owns and oversees the trademarks for the Rasa Rosz and Ratu Tumis names and logos. We have developed this trademark usage policy with the following objectives:

• To make it clear how Rasa Rosz-related businesses can and cannot use the Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis name and logo; and

• To make it hard for anyone to use the Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis name and logo to unfairly profit from, trick or confuse people who are looking for official Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis resources.

Permission from the Trademark Owner is required to use the Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis name or logo not covered by this policy as part of any project, product, service, display name, username, domain name, or company name. Such permission will be granted for a specific purpose and time period at the sole discretion of the Trademark Owner.

Use of the Rasa Rosz and Ratu Tumis name and logo by a Rasa Rosz-related business is allowed in the following situations:

• You are using the name together with the legal or trading name of your registered business, for example, “Rasa Rosz × ABC Food Mart” or “XYZ Sdn Bhd – Rasa Rosz Ratu Tumis Authorised Reseller”. This does not include any third-party trademark.

• You are using the name together with the local geographic name of your registered business, for example, “Rasa Rosz Segambut” or “Rasa Rosz Ratu Tumis @ Jalan Dutamas”. This does not include the name of a country or continent.

• You are using the name and logo to refer to and explain the products or services that you offer, but not as a project, product, service, display name, username, domain name, or business name or in any way that suggests an affiliation with or endorsement by the Trademark Owner.

• You are using the name or the logo with the express permission of the Trademark Owner.

For example, a business can describe itself as “XYZ Food Mart, selling Rasa Rosz products,” but cannot call itself “Rasa Rosz Food Mart”. Similarly, a business selling Ratu Tumis product line can describe itself as “ABCD Enterprise, the #1 seller of Ratu Tumis cooking kits in Kuala Lumpur,” but cannot call itself “Ratu Tumis Sales & Marketing”.

You may use the Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis logo as part of a page that describes your products or services, but you may not use it as part of your business or product logo or branding itself.

Unless expressly permitted by the Trademark Owner, you may not use Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis as a display name, username, domain name or top-level domain name.

The abbreviation “RR” is not covered by the Rasa Rosz trademarks and you are free to use it in any way you see fit.

When in doubt about your use of the Rasa Rosz or Ratu Tumis name or logo, please contact the Trademark Owner for clarification.
